Sharing

Watching Tim and AJ interact with each other, it was clear that we needed a lesson on sharing. So we threw something together.

That afternoon, the boys and I had made cookies that were for a special family home evening activity. We started by discussing how we share and examples of things that we can share (toys, snacks, etc). Most of this centered around what the boys can share with each other and included the catch phrase "Sharing makes us happy".

Then, we set out to practice sharing. We bagged up some of our cookies to share with Grandma and Grandpa's neighbors. AJ pushed his shopping cart full of the bags of cookies from house to house while Tim rode his bike.

We returned home, discussed how we felt happy when we gave some of our cookies to the neighbors and how it made the neighbors happy too and we saw them smiling. Sharing made us happy.
